Long Weekend Field Trips

Ian & I headed up to Vermont for the long weekend to enjoy some family time and snowy, open landscapes. Of course, I had to feed my fabric addiction - my Mom took me (us) to Frank's Bargain Center Fabrics in Charlestown, NH, a place that she recently rediscovered.

Frank has some of my favorite vintage print 1930's fabrics - at a much smaller price. Score!

He also has TONS of random notions - thread, knitting needles, zippers, buttons... Check out this WALL of vintage patterns. Woah.

I had to bribe Ian to come along with a hot chocolate at Burdick's in Walpole, NH. They make the most delicious hot chocolate in the world. So delicious that we were very sad when it was all gone!

Some other weekend highlights - dinner with my grandparents, mom-cooked meals, ultimate coffee cake, seeing my favorite x-country ski coach from high school, and a little time spent working on a BIG project that I'll reveal soon...

What was the highlight of your weekend?

  1. Mmmmm, Burdick's hot chocolate!! I haven't had that in years, but you are right, it is pretty amazing! My weekend was mostly filled with being Suzie Homemaker...cleaning, laundry, sewing, and bread-baking...but it was super fun :-)
