Kitchen Window Quilt

Here's the big reveal of my third full size quilt, from the Kitchen Window pattern in Elizabeth Hartman's A Practical Guide to Patchwork.

I created this quilt from blue and yellow vintage bed linens, coupled with some white and blue polka dotted fabric.

Thanks to my friend Sarah for giving me some great tips on free motion quilting a full size quilt.  See those swirling whirlies?  Let me tell you - my arms got a workout making those happen!

It's imperfect as always, but beautiful, too, I think.

  3. I love how you always incorporate some "fun" fabric into the backing and never have it just one solid color. Any good tips on where to find a good tutorial on free motion quilting?
