On Saturday my friend Alice and I went to the Machine Quilters Expo East at the RI Convention Center.
It. Was. Awesome. I've never felt so nerdy/overwhelmed/excited all at once.
Here are some photos:

Wholecloth Quilting - this is new to me. WOAH. |
This was the kicker that we just so insane: a quilt of a quilt expo. Whaaaat? There's even a man looking at his watch!
While we were there, Alice turned to me and said: "Can I tell you something? I think you've found your calling."
So much inspiration, so many gadgets, so much fabric. Sensory overload. Awesome.
Sounds like a great time! I love whole cloth quilts, they are so amazing. We have some pretty impressive ones at the museum and I marvel at them every time. Ultimately though, 1820-1870 pieced quilts are my favorite. I'm always surprised at the crazy fabrics they had!
ReplyDeleteWoah! That quilt of the quilt conference is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI totally think one of your many callings is quilts. You are so talented.
