Holiday Gift Guide: Dahlia Stud Earrings by Amie Louise Plante

The holiday season is on its way, and I'm creating a list of my own picks for great holiday gifts for giving - each Friday I feature a creation by a local Rhode Island artist that is bound to suit someone on your list! We might be the tiniest state, but we've got a whole lot of talent!

This week: Jewelry Designer Amie Louise Plante. Amie grew up in Rhode Island, and studied jewelry and metals at the Rhode Island School of Design. I met Amie through The Hive Archive, and had the opportunity to take one of her workshops.
"I approach making work with the experience of a goldsmith, the hands of a sculptor and the eyes of a painter. Each choice is informed by my need to create recognizable beauty that also transcends the conventional. My aesthetic is heavily influenced by natural, organic forms found in plants and flowers, ocean life, architecture, historical jewelry, Art Nouveau and Victorian decorative arts." - Amie
My Picks:

Her designs are so eye-catching and beautiful! Check out more of Amie's work in her Etsy Shop, and visit her website to learn about when & where she's teaching classes: www.amieplante.com.
